Temporary Worker Status Days More than 5 Years Ago? Do they count at all?

Hello - I just submitted my PR Renewal today. Did the physical presence calculation today and it appears I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in early October 2022. However to be honest with the pandemic restrictions and how miserable life is in Ontario these days, I am eager to meet my citizenship obligations, apply, and leave ASAP.

I had a question about temporary work status in Canada before PR was granted. I know those days may count @ 50% up to 365 days total. However I am not sure if this also needs to be in the same rolling 5 year period, or if it goes back further? (I thought I remember reading somewhere a while back that those days can go back further, still at 50% up to a max of 365 days). Is that correct, or do they only count @ 50% if they fall during the same rolling 5 year period in question?

Thanks,
Jordan

Only if they fall within the 5 years eligibility period. The physical presence calculator automatically does this for you by asking the related questions
