Temporary Work permit expires before PR is issued

HI!

My situation is that I am currently in Canada working in a skilled position on a working Holiday visa. I have applied for PR as a skilled worker and have been approved by sydney. My application is now sitting awaiting processing in Buffalo.

As it is extrememly likely that my current work visa will expire before PR is issued what are my options? If my PR is processing do I automatically get implied status? Or do I need to get a LMO from my employer and get a work permit to stay in the meantime?

Hi
No u won't get implied status automatically if your application is in process outside Canada. If your work permit is expiring, your employer should apply for LMO and then after getting positive LMO you have to apply for a new work permit under the same employer.
