1. What were the refusal reasons?
In the correspondence letter, it is stated that:
You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:
travel history
immigration status in country of residence
Length of proposed stay in Canada
Purpose of visit
Personal assets and financial status
I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated
purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.
You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets.
I guess this is because I chose" tourism" but in the explanatory letter, I wrote the reason I am going to Canada is for the competition, not tourism? And I am financially dependent on both of my parents. I am a permanent resident in Australia. I live with my mum but she does not have a lot of money in her bank account. My dad is in china and I used his bank statements. It is about 4000 CAD. I think it is not enough? Now I asked my dad to put more money so it will have around 10000 CAD. Will this be enough?
2. Are you a student? Employed? Or both? Or is your study program a part-time one or is it a distance education/online program?
I recently just graduate from Sydney University and have started my first full-time job for less than a month. I haven't received salary yet. However, I will receive salary before my departure for Canada. I will have more money then. I have included my employment contract stating the salary and the pay date.
3. What is the international competition for? What documents did the Canadian organizers provide? What documents will your university provide?
It is called Rotman International Trading Competition. I have an invitation letter from Toronto University. My uni has flight receipt. Should I ask more documents from my uni?
4. When does your study program end? What is the duration of this study program?
It ended in the nov 2017 but I am going to the competition as a student of Sydney University
5. As you are employed, indicating that you are dependent on your parents could negatively impact a TRV approval? Unless you are employed part-time and you're quite young.
