Temporary resident visa, how long does it take to get stamped?

I sent my passport over a week ago, and was wondering how long it will take to get the temporary resident stamp. Any past experiences?

edit: I sent it from inside Canada, requesting an extension.

Hello, I was planning to apply for mine too since I just recently received my stay permit extension. Did you apply online or by paper? And how long did you wait till you send them your passport?
