Hello guys! Newbie here. Just have a couple of questions regarding the TRV form.
Quick background: I am married here in the Philippines but separated from my wife for many years. I am planning to visit my girlfriend in Canada next year.
What confuses me on the form is the marital status. Do i pick “married” since i am still legally married here in the Philippines or “legally separated” because according to the cic page, legally separated are those who are married but are not living together with their spouse.
Problem is i dont have any documentation or proof we are separated although we really are not living together for many years. Im trying to be careful filling up the form because if I get approved, we will be applying for common law sponsorship. If not, we will apply for conjugal.
