Hi,
I apply for temporary resident visa for my parents to attend the 2nd birthday of my daughter but their application was refused.
* you have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host's income and assets.
* I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose your visit.
* Base on documents submitted, your host do not meet the income requirements (LICO) for super visa eligibility.
What does it means? Can you help me because we want to re-apply again but want to make sure that we meet all the requirements.
Thanks

Birthdays are generally not viewed as compelling reasons to visit. That explains the refusal for 'Purpose of Visit'.

1. Did your parents apply super visas or for TRVs? I guess they applied for TRVs.

2. Maybe your parents mentioned a long-stay which explains the refusal for both Purpose of Visit (a birthday celebration won't require a 6 month visit) + Host does not meet super visa income requirement (LICO would factor in for this long stay).

Did they mention they want to stay for 6-6+ months?

We apply for super visa, the purpose of their visit is to attend the birthday of my daughter. They also mentioned that they will stay for more than 6 months.

If they rejected you for not meeting the LICO, you probably do not qualify for a super visa in the first place. Check the link provided above if you met the requirements.
