Temporary Resident Visa Application form for Minor Child -8 year old

My Company is planning to do intra company transfer from US to Canada.
I plan to apply work permit along with TRV for whole family

While filling TRV form for my 8 year old son, I need help

Background Information section says
"You must fill this section if you are 18 Years of age or older"

1. Do i need to fill this section for my 8 year old child or leave it blank ?
2. I tried leaving it empty and it allowed me to validate the form and successfully print it.

Please share your experiences.

Your spouse should be applying for a SOWP and children TRV.

Just leave it blank. I guess that's the TRV form or family information form?

No instructions say that TRV is fine. We have seen some cases where visa officers have decided they want study permits but they shouldn’t required for an 8 year old.

I just had very similar issue, but my son is 7 years old, canuck78 is absolutely right.
