Only way is to apply to jobs and hope someone replies and is willing to go through the LMIA process. FYI, ECEs are licensed in almost all provinces so if you don't have a license you can work without one. Are you eligible for immigration programs since you are bilingual? If so look at immigrating as getting a job offer will be a challenge.
Yes, you are absolutely right.

Just keep applying a usual and try the luck. You said about license for ECE Assistant, but many vacancies posted online I saw they jut want post secondary school certificate.

We are looking for the option of immigration too. score is not much good but yet preparing for language exams. Lets hope for best.

You are an assistant not ECE so will depend on the province. For PNP immigration, you need a license to be elgible.

Thanks for the link. It has full information about ECE and Assistant. Only Alberta and Manitoba need license for ECE assistant. Alberta gives 6 months time after employment. looks good in regards to license requirement for almost all provinces.

Early childhood educator assistants
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience in child care is required.
  • Completion of an early childhood education assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in early childhood education may be required.
  • Licensing by a provincial or territorial association for early childhood educators (ECE) may be required.
a) Regarding certificate, 'may be required...' means some schools may have this requirement, inst it?
b) Regarding licensing, i think it is only compulsory for Alberta and Manitoba as these two province only mentioned asking for license for ECE Assistant ?

I think BC also needs certification for ECE assistant. I think you need to look at the specific province for specific rule on license/certification. And some work permit do not allow working with children. And I don't think it's easy to get LMIA for an ECE assistant for a close work permit. (if that's the route you are looking for)

Here is the info for BC:
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/early-learning/teach/training-and-professional-development/become-an-early-childhood-educator

The title said "ECE Educator" but if you read on
"Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a critical role in providing education and care for young children. To work as an ECE or ECE Assistant in a licensed child care facility in B.C. you must be certified by the ECE Registry. "

And there is more details in ECE Assistant Certificate

Yes, you are right. BC too need certification even for ECE asistant.

Anyways, hope to explore the various options to immigrate or work in Canada.

Thank you very much for your detailed information.

Will be back to take your suggestions in future again.

If you have any extra suggestions for Francophone mobility program. Please do share. It is one of the best options for French speakers. I will be trying my luck n upcoming November virtual seminar.
