I'm looking to move in with my fiance who lives in Windsor Ontario, right across the US/CA border from Detroit. My employer has an office in Toronto, and is on board with me reclassifying as a Canadian worker and we are exploring the possibility of working remotely. However there is also an office on the US side in Detroit.

Would it be possible to live in Canada under a temporary residence permit, classified by my work as working under the Canadian office, but commute to the US into Detroit to work at the office there? Or would that invalidate the temporary residence?

Are you actually inadmissible so applying for a TRP? Pretty sure you mean TRV. No you couldn’t live in Canada and work like you are planning on doing. Won’t work remotely or commuting daily to the US. You need a work permit or the ability to work in Canada.
