How much will crossing between Windsor and Detroit through the Ambassador bridge or Detroit-Windsor tunnel 7 days a week cost per month? What is the cheapest option? Thanks.

It's 5 USD or 6.25 CAD to cross on the bridge each way. they take both currencies. Just multiply that with the number of times you'll be crossing. I believe you can get a nexus card if you've lived in either US or Canada for at least 3 years.
Also, I hear the tunnel is cheaper and traffic is not so bad.

Hello All,

I am seeking your valuable advise on my current situation.

I am a Indian Citizen working with one of the Big 3 Automotive corporation in Detroit, MI on H1B Visa. I recently received my Canadian PR in Jan 2016. I wanted to explore my options of living in Windsor, On and commuting Daily to USA. I have many co-workers who commute from Windsor to Detroit on a daily basis but all of them are Canadian citizens. I am seeking advice or guidance on my situation (Indian Passport with Canadian PR + H1B).

Am I eligible to commute from Windsor to Detroit on H1B and Canadian PR on a daily basis?

How easy is it to cross border daily?

If so What documents should I carry everyday?

Where do I file my Taxes?

Will this effect my USA Green Card process which is planned to be initiated by my employer in May 2016?

Thank You in advance!

Regards
Mo
Hi, Could you please let us know your updated situation? Just need your advice on a few things:
a) Have you migrated to Windsor and are you commuting to your work in Detroit daily? any issues with that?
b) So once you received your COPR in January 2016, how did you receive the actual PR card (as you were living in Detroit at the time)?
c) what is it like to live in Windsor?

thank you - much appreciate any input you can provide.
