my dates are exactly the same as yours. please let me know as soon as u get your passport. i too have booked my flight tickets but for the 10th of dec. did you try emailing them to find out your status? i am thinking of sending another package with a letter stating the urgency ( with flight into) along with my uci so they can match it to my package along with a self address xpresspost. this way it they doesnt use their reg mailing system.

I know a guy who applied on 16th and he has also no received any update...

I am so sad because i have booked my ticket for 7th Dec. Now CIC is processing on the applications received on 8th Oct. My application got received at CIC on 21nd Oct.

I think i am stupid i have chose paper instead online. Mr. bondbond, i think u r lucky

Im suffering for same reason. I trusted the processing times.
My paper application got received on OCTOBER 18 and i haven't heard anything. So hold tite. I did some research and learned that it takes approx. 45 days(including weekends) when ure application was received. I have also booked my ticket to India. Just keep praying.

I got it finally on Nov 19, a paper application submitted on Oct 1. It took me roughly 48 days.

Why do you need it so bad? Got travel arrangements? Should that be the case, delay your travel for 2 weeks you'll be safe.

My application got submitted on 21st Oct at Ottawa office. So, no words from me for my big mistake what i did for myself. I always think girls are good at taking good decisions but i did mistake myself that I have submitted PAPER application.

So, thing is, what i have to do now? Dec 6th is flight date to India. I am kind of stopped to do things (shopping) totally.

Cancelling the single ticket is not that difficult like me but if it is full family ticket means i just say horrible. I hope you guys are not in that situation.

I hope we will be good if CIC spread blessings on us. Lets do CIC bhajan. lol

Mailed paper application on Oct 16th, and arrived Ottawa on Oct 18th by Canada Post Tracking number. I haven't heard anything at all, don't know if they got my application or not. Can someone tell me how you know if the application is in the processing line or not? I called help center, but since I don't have a client ID, I cannot get any information at all.... scheduled my travel on Dec 13th.

I submitted on Oct 1 and got mine Nov 19. They surely have received your application. The only issue is that you will spend around 50 days in total until that passport returns to your address. Given that, a Dec 13th travel should be fine as you will likely receive it by Dec 8th.

Kiranmai, no kidding, you might just be lucky enough to receive that passport on Dec 4th or 5th and narrowly catch the flight. So I wouldn't do anything until Dec 4th to check the tracking number. If it's activated that day - THANK GOD for the blessing and enjoy your trip; but if not, delay the flight by a week or two.

Yes.. i did.

Since we don't have any sort of communication with CPP OTTAWA it is good to send xpress envelope. So that at least we can check the status by using tracking number like i do everyday morning copy and paste the tracking number in canadapost.ca and feels bad.

As you said, it is not mandatory because CPP will send your passport back in Ordinary post which is usually takes little longer.

Like she said it's all about Canada Post, nothing to do with Immigration Office. You can insert a return envelope if you want, but not mandatory. But if you don't, the only thing you can do is to wait for the passport mail to show up in your mailbox.

were on the same boat friend. My application got received on Oct 18/2013. Still waiting. .. By talking to people on this website, I think we will get our passports between dec 5-10 ... lets hope for the best...
