Temporary application number when sponsoring spouse

Hi guys,

I am asking for friend.

He applied to sponsor spouse Aug 2020. He called cic and they gave him temporary application number that starts with X. Npthing shows on ecas

Another friend who applied in Aug,2020 got AOR, SA, med done, bio done and file moved to local office.

What would u suggest to do for the guy who has temp application #?

He should wait to receive further updates. Files are not processed in order of date received at least now after the pandemic. you will see files are being processed faster than others disregarding received dates.
