I just got my reappointment letter from my employer. But today I login my CIC account, I find CIC ask for permanent job offer for temporarily work permit extension. I think it should be some mistakes in CIC online application system. Here is their requirement:

"Document: Offer of Employment

You must provide a job offer letter from the employer who wants to hire you. It must be printed on company letterhead, and state that you will be employed permanently in Canada by that company. The letter must specify whether the job is:

for continuous, paid, full-time work (at least 30 hours a week),
for work that is permanent and not seasonal,
skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
(Note – in most cases, the job offer must be for a permanent job. For some types of jobs, it has to be for at least one year.)

The job offer letter must include contact information for the company (address, telephone number and email address)."

why CIC needs a permanent job offer for temporarily work permit extension? Is it a mistake?

1. Yes, it appears that they think that the employer applied for LMIA to support a PR resident application rather than LMIA to work in Canada.

I think so but better add a Letter of Explanation about you're applying for a Temporary WP

Before send it, try to call CIC and ask about it.

I call CIC several times today but failed. Many thanks. I think not just me, many guys meet the same problem as I meet. I will wait for CIC fixing this problem before I submit my applications. I wish them fixing this mistake soon. :'(

I strongly recommend to don't delay in sending the requested documents to CIC.
