Hello everyone, I need help! Those who have already given TEF, how similar is the exam to the two preparation books, TEF test evaluation d'français 250 activités and TEF Objectif reussite? I found the TEF Objetcif Reussite papers easier than the 250 activités ones. So how similar is the real TEF to either of these? Please let me know, the 250 activités book is giving me nightmare in the reading section, other sections are quite similar to the objectif reussite ones. I am planning to give the exam either in Feb or in March.
Hello I used prepmyfuture for my exam preparation. I found that the content and questions prepared me well for the exam.

Thanks a ton!!
You are welcome! For the speaking part I watched some YouTube channels such as David Leblanc and propulse training ( this one is very useful since she has some speaking stimulations and she provides good tips for the speaking sections.)

Ok, will check these and practice too. Already purchased prepmyfuture and I find it very helpful. It even explains the answers in english. Thanks for all these valuable tips. Just 1 question, this prepmyfuture is available for lifetime or is there a time limit to finish everything? TIA

And if it's not a bother, can you say how much time you took to learn french to get a decent score, or are you a native?

Hello I am a French native speaker but I have lived and studied in the USA for almost 10 years. I believe if you study hard you can get a great score. @DelPiero07 who is not a native speaker studied French for one year and was able to get C1 in Reading and Listening and B2 in the other parts.I was really impressed by his/ her scores. Being a native speaker gives you certainly an avantage but if you don’t practice you won’t get a good score. You can beat a native speaker’s score if you work hard. It took me two attempts to get a great score in each part of the exam because of a lack of practice during my first attempt. Good luck.

I am not sure. I bought it since last August and I can still use it. You may need to email the company for an answer.

Hello everyone!
Does anyone here know how the TEF answers are marked? I mean, in reading there are 50 questions but they are for 300 marks. So 300/50=6. Do they multiply each answer by 6?? Or do they have some criteria?
To get B2 you need to get 70% of the answers right. Isnt it??
Also, how much time does it take to get the results? If we get the online results earlier than the hard copy, can we use the online one to add to the EE profile??
Plz help!!

Hello all,
I have been trying to find how is the TEF test graded without success.
I know how much i should score to get clb7 for example but i can't find how many right answers are needed in each section. For the ielts it was clear how it's calculated and how many mistakes are allowed to score a certain grade but nothing is mentioned for the TEF.
I have been practicing for it but I don't know for instance if 50/60 in comprehension orale is equivalent to 300/360 or not.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help on this matter.

This is what I found on the manuel of the TCF, and most probably it would be the same for TEF.

From this I understand that the answers are marked according the level, the A1 answers have the least score and the C2 answers have the most score. So if suppose we get 3 marks for A1 and A2 answers, then maybe we get 4 marks for B1 B2 answers and mayb 5 marks for C1 and 6 marks for C2. So unlike in IELTS where we are marked the same whether the question is band 1 or 2 or ....9, we get 1 mark for doing it right and lose 1 for doing it wrong. But most MOST probably here, if we do the C1 C2 ones wrong we lose the most, and get the most if we get them right. This is for the fair assessment of the candidate according to them.

PS: The Natives here, please correct me if I am wrong.
