Did you get a good exchange rate / lower transfer fees/commission using Union Bank or you went with them because they were your primary bank and you took whatever they gave you?

Because my money FDR already in that bank account. And I didn't want to move anywhere. Not very reasonable fees they have.

As Ashu told that PR card address can be changed later but I would suggest if you have a permanent address of a friend or relative better use that to avoid any delays or miscommunications .
Otherwise you have the option of changing the address.
SIN is issued during landing at Toronto Airport itself so don't worry about the address for that.
Local bank account you can open with the temporary address and then change it later .
The only thing you will have to wait or is the eHealth. For that application you have to provide 2 address proofs either rental lease or Landline connection proof or Credit card/ electricity bill which shows your address.

@saskapr2015, @ashuindian I have read somewhere here that it is always advisable to only give an address in the province which has nominated. I have family in Toronto, but am nominated by SK. Can I give the Toronto address during landing procedures, will that not open me to the risk of "do not intent to live in nominating province" disqualification ?

Can I give the Toronto address during landing procedures, will that not open me to the risk of "do not intent to live in nominating province" disqualification ?

That's right that you should give the address of the province which nominated you . If you give address of some other province you show that you have stronger ties with other province which might make the officer doubt your intentions and question. I too have many friends n relatives in Toronto but I gave someone's address in Sask.

No. In case of any urgency, we can cover it through Open Door Society before getting the Health Card.

You mean to say that Open Door Society will cover your medical expenses if, God forbid, any need arises ?

Yes. They work as a coordinator between the Government and New immigrant. They contact directly to the hospital and solve the problem.

Not very rigidly. Settlement Adviser ( Open door society) solve a it easily.
Sometimes they suggest to provide Open door Society address.

Co-ordinators normally only facilitate, you sure they will pay medical expense ?
