Hi Everyone, I am actually asking on behalf of my friend!

My friend recently graduated from University! And got a job with Bell. The job is a field service technician position! He wanted to know if he continues to work here will it qualify for Permanent resident when he does complete 1 year of work experience!

Thank you

Possibly. Your friend would have to find the correct NOC code for his job, and verify that it is classified as "skilled" (NOC Level O, A or B). You have to chose the NOC based on the lead statement and job duties/responsibilities, not the job title (title can be useful when first looking for the NOC, but you have to check the lead statement and job duties/responsibilities).

NOC 7246 or 2242 are likely candidates. Both are classifed as Skill Level B, so they would qualify.
