Assume that you have googled schools in Toronto. Generally in Canada there tends to be more teachers than teaching jobs so actually finding a teaching job will not be easy.
Wherever they are teaching English to newcomers, would be a good place to go ask. Also, sometimes they only hire former students (as was the case where I used to work and the centre where I will do my practicum) so check out ESL/EAL volunteering opportunities. I know this is less than ideal, why would you give your skills away for free, etc. but in Canada it seriously makes a big difference if you start by volunteering, especially for any services to newcomers.
