I got my skill letter already but they did not mention as full time employee/hours worked, I got a message that i can not apply for skill letter again, i think i messed it..
how do i handle it?

Even if you mention them, they won't let it be there. If you read their instructions, you are not supposed to enter hours or project related stuff in the letter anyways.

You can get a notarized letter from your supervisor with all the missing info like hours, salary, designations held along with the same responsibilities mentioned in the tcs letter and submit both letters.

I am more or less in similar situation. I got a letter for US immigration which is in completely different format from what cic needs and I won't be able to submit that letter now for my pr. And Tcs doesn't issue the letter more than once strictly. So I'm getting notarized letter from my supervisor and submitting along with service letter.

It's so stupid that they issue it only once. There are different needs that might arise for people. Like someone who got letter for Canadian pr might want to apply for US GC or Australian pr etc, and they might require different content in the letter.

Any previous supervisor should be fine. Ideally your supervisor is supposed to sign before notary, but in India notary doesn't care much I guess. Just submit that along with their ID card scan.

There is a separate thread called nail the challenge of getting letter from employer. Suggest to look in to that.

Don't worry. No IT company in India gives a reference letter in the format cic wants but still there are many who got PPR from CIC.

1. Get a letter from HR mentioning your designation and duration of your employment
2. Get any other details such as working hours and so on from your supervisor on your official email Id and ask him to keep your hr in cc

Submit these two along with your skill letter. It should work out :)

You can follow the steps suggested by DEEPCUR but in my personal opinion CIC officers deal with TCS/HCL/WIPRO/INFOSYS on a daily basis and they know that they suck the blood out of their employees by making them work 9-10 hours per week. That has to count for full time employment.

Just a thought!!!!!!!

True.. They could just oversee that considering the company. But why take chances?! Hours are extremely vital information!

I got mine from TCS a couple of days back. They mention that xxx was employed FULL TIME .....

This is totally fine I assure you.
Hi, can you share if you faced any problems with your reference letter mentioning only "full time" without mentioning hours? please let me know as I am about to submit a similar reference letter with only "full time" mentioned with out stating the hours. Thank you!

"full time" words are sufficient ..isn;t it.. company not agreeing to mention hours....

You can get reference letter only if you have resigned from the company. If you have resigned, write an email to corporate.ffs@tcs.com asking for responsibilities letter. They will reply back with a template and last TCS supervisor email id. Fill the template and send it to your supervisor. He needs to send his approval to an email id after which they will issue the letter in letterhead. If you are working there, notarized supervisor letter is the only option I think.

Hello,

I need to obtain the letter and I am still in TCS.
Do i need supervisor signature on notarized letter having my roles and duties?
Or anything else other than signature from supervior is needed.

Thanks
Navdeep

Hi All,

Can anyone advise me, if existing reference letter from TCS is enough (full time employee) and no. Of hours are not mentioned.

Anyone got PPR request with just existing Reference letter from TCS

I think it should be enough as no big company follow the CIC template for providing such information.
Also we are the not the 1st one from TCS who is applying for the canada PR.

I am not sure if notary document from ex-supervisor or team member will help here.
