Hello guys. I've been working in Canada for 3 months (got a work visa) and I will stay for 2 years total. A Canadian friend of mine told me he needs to pay the taxes this year. It came to my mind if me, as a temporary resident, must pay taxes too, or if it's a option that I can make since I'm a temporary resident. I'm aiming to live here longer(apply for immigration in the future) so will it be good for me to declare tax? What are my options?
