Dear all,

I have lived and worked in the US since graduation from college. I spent 2 years and 6 months of my working years in my native country.
CIC has asked me to submit tax returns from my native country. I only have a tax return for 1 year. I was asked
by lawyer to submit whatever I have with a declaration. Even if 1.5 years are not considered towards my work experience
I would still have 4 years of experience, so I am not concerned about that.

Question 1): Is above Ok?

Also, during the 2 years 6 months in native country, I worked for 2 years 2 months with company A and 4 months with company B. This is what the tax returns show. However when I submitted the application I mentioned I worked for 2 years with company A and 6 months with company B. This was a mistake on my part because I did not have the original tax return at the time of submission. Also, at that time I sincerely believed what I mentioned in the application was true.

Question 2): What happens in this case?

Thanks!

Hi

any updates from CIC about your tax returns documentation...?

No updates on my case yet. I submitted the docs as my lawyer (or his clerk) suggested.
THey requested PCC (FBI + India), Tax Returns from India, Medical Receipt, Proof Of Funds and Cashier's check for CIC fees
all of which I submitted; for this type of request I dont expect them to come back for another three or four months.
After that I expect them to ask me for my passport (barring unforeseen problems).
