Tax Return Preparer

Hi friends.
Recently there was an Exam from Income Tax Department, Govt of India. I cleared the exam and now I am a Certified Tax Return Preparer (TRP).

Can anybody tell me, Can I go to canada on Work permit on the basis of my this TRP certificate?
Or it is just useless in Canada?

The certificate is useless.

To be approved for a work permit you need a job offer from a Canadian employer first. To be approved to hire you, the employer must also prove they couldn't find a Canadian to hire for the position. Employers here aren't going to hire you on the basis of that certificate since it's meaningless to them. If you had a few years of experience in the industry and an accounting designation - then you might have a higher chance.

If I show 4-5 months of experience, still it is useless?
And If I go on study permit, and after that when I get work permit, Can I convince employers of tax firms to hire me? I mean is it possible?

I can't tell you for certain. 4-5 months of experience isn't very much - and you won't be familiar with the Canadian income tax act or Revenue Canada regulations - so your employer will have to train you effectively from scratch. However if you have an open work permit as a result of finishing your studies here - then someone might be willing to hire you since they won't have to go through the LMO process. Impossible to say for certain.

Canadian tax rules are different from those of India.

Besides, you would have to do some upgrading to be able to do the same in Canada.

Filing taxes is not that hard with the software available today and someone who is moderately experienced in typing on a keyboard.

It is also sort of a seasonal job anyways. In my experience, big accounting firms will not hire anyone without a formal education in accounting.

I agree with this statement 100%. I would add the big banks to this list as well.
