Hello Everyone!
I moved from US to Canada last August. I own a home in the US that I am renting out. I paper filed my taxes using a cross border tax specialist here in Canada. I was given all the tax forms from them to mail to IRS in Austin. I sent all the docs in a single packet for both me and my spouse via Canada post certified mail. The mail was delivered to IRS on March 21 and I can see the acknowledged and singed proof if I track it via USPS (USPS and Canada post apparently share the same tracking id from Canada to US). But its been almost 3 months and I have yet to receive my refund. Any one else in a similar boat? what's the usual time to get refund's via paper filing? I keep trying to call both US IRS number as well as IRS international tax support number and both has a automated message that comes after it says they are transferring to an agent that they are really busy and it hangs up automatically. checking where is my refund online is not helpful either as nothing shows up there.
