Tax question in form { Q6J }??

Taxation Year Required to file Taxes filed

2012 n/a yes
2013 n/a yes
2014 n/a yes
2015 n/a yes
2016 Yes n/a

Do I have to fill the form above like that. BTW:- I landed in dec 2012 and I am gonna apply citizenship in Jan 2016.

If you have been living in Canada since 2012 then you would put yes instead of n/a for required to fill for 2012-2015. And for taxes filled on 2016, it would be No as of Jan 2016.

I think you mean January 2017.

You do not have to include proof of having filed taxes, though some people do. If you sent copies of your NOAs, that would only be 4 extra sheets of paper. Your decision.

Hi,
Do we need to provide lease agreement and banking information to prove the residency. Though I didn't leave canada in the past 4 years.

You do not need to provide that information with your application. If your period of residency in Canada is questioned, then you will need to present such evidence.

When they ask for the SIN number, doesn't mean that they can have direct access to whatever we filled in the past and they will check them all (including T4s)? And also, if I am gonna send my application now, do I have to include 2016 as he mentioned? I thought the current year will not count and we should not mention it.

No matter what you say; CIC will know exactly whats going on when we sign our life off to CIC to access CRA

I'm in the same situation.

Even though I meet the residency requirement I don't think I can apply yet until I file my 2016 taxes.
I landed in December 2012 and I filed for 2013, 2014, 2015 and will file for 2016 in March.

any ideas?

@ Dkera, you can not apply, until you file the 2016 tax. if you had filed the 2012 tax, then, you would have be able to apply.
We landed in November, 2012 and in 2013 we filed the 2012 tax. so we were able to apply.

Why not? You met the residency requirement, just put "no" on 2016 taxes filed (it just means not yet)
