Taking Leave of absence as an international student

Hey Guys, I am an international student at university of ottawa and planning to take leave of absence for this summer . is it possible for me as an international student to take leave of absence?

clarify leave of absence , you mean take a vacation whilst uni is on summer recess and continuing course in the fall ?

yes. taking leave from studies in summer . They told me to take courses in summer but I dont have any course in summer. so i opted for leave of absence but I don't know whether an international students study permit allows it or not?

yes you can, you don't have to study in the summer, you can just come back in the fall and your are fine

this is what I do usually, I don't study in the summer, I go home from beginning of May and return beginning of Sept

Won't this cause any issues with the post graduate work permit?

Say if you don't do any summer courses and end up taking two years to finish your degree, will you get 3 years PGWP?

But the point is that It was mandatory for me to take courses this summer as my program suggests but there were no courses available so I opted for leave of absence so now I am not sure whether am I eligible to stay in canada or move back to my country for that period. And does Study permit allows to take leave of absence or not.
