Hello,

I'm interested in taking a 2 year diploma program (not PGD) even though I already have a bachelors degree.

Will there be any problems here even if I provide a good SOP? I need to do this to change my educational/career stream.

Oh thank goodness! I'm not alone.

I feel much much better that there's someone on the same boat.
Please keep me posted, I'll let you know if I find any information.

EDIT : Just to be clear, mine is an ordinary diploma and not a post grad diploma.

Even i'm doing the same.. But i'm not aware abt the consequences of this..

if it is a logical extension not a problem at all , but it should be related to your previous education , i have seen so much of cases who had there visa granted for ps diploma even after btech

I hope so because I genuinely want to refresh my career and start over in a new field. I need this diploma from a first world country to do just that and be competitive in the job market at home once I graduate.

start over in a new field !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont ever choose a different stream then your previous one unless it will be a course mismatch for sure , dont think of this

New field , course mismatch..................

I'm afraid of that.

What should I take then? The field I finished was International Relations. I don't think I'm qualified for masters and the post graduate diploma have no relation to my current field...

EDIT:
My current is Bachelor of Arts - International Relations (it has a different name but pretty much means the same thing).
I applied for Lethbridge's General Studies program.

Sorry for the double post but I really need more information.

In a way, General Studies and Bachelor of Arts are related, but the major I want are not. Is this still a course mismatch case?

sorry buddy i cant help u here i m from the field of information technology and knows nothing about your stream and wat these norms means so wait for someone more experienced to reply to u

Thank you for your reply.

I'll probably still try, I'll have a reasonable SOP at the very least.
It's just that the educational stream I have right now is a dead-end.
