T4 slip

Hi,

When I am doing the tax return via HR block, they cut the original T4 into half (the first half is gone and there is only the second half).

Is the bottom half the T4 enough for the application purpose (not sure why they cut the first half when doing the tax return.)

actually the top half and bottom half are exactly the same, interesting..

Yes the bottom half should be sufficient and meets the CIC requirements.

Both halves are meant for one copy to be sent with your filing and the second half to be kept for your records. Make sure you keep a copy for your records when sending to your half to CIC.

The 2 halves are the same, one half is for your own record and the other for CRA.

CIC recognize this so send the half you have.
