You can only apply with NOC code: 0213 (for IT workers) under Federal Skilled Immigration.

Your job responsibilities should match that of NOC code: 0213 (it does not matter even if the title does not match).

You can look at other options (Provincal Immigration) (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp).

Hi Shashi,

2 things to note.

1) Code 2171 is no longer a requirement in the recent list(atleast what my Immig Lawyer told me) hence applying under that code might be a chance for rejection under FSW.

2) Job title does not have any significance(atleast from my personal experience) it is the job responsibilities that matter. If you perform a managers role(approve budjets, people reporting to you or managing projects etc) as mentioned in the responsibilities for code 0213 with IT Consultant/Analyst Designation it is fine. I am telling this as I applied under this code(0213) and my official designation is Senior IT Analyst, although I manage projects and have reportees under me, went through fine.

System Analyst with fewer years of experience will be difficult to get through!!
So make sure your job duties are valid and matches the NOC code
