Hi,

I was diagnosed with syphilis in January 2019 and was treated with Doxycycline and 3 doses of Benzathine penicillin G 2.4 million units at one shot a week for three weeks.

I wish to apply for a Canada student visa. Will my medicals be rejected?

I am very worried that i will fail my medical, I am from India.
should I show my panel doctor the reports and the treatment I got ?

hey I did my medicals and I mentioned it I got syphilis and I got it treated and showed the doctor each and every test results which I took and doctors prescription and I cleared the medicals after 53 days.
As I said before as long as you get treated and it isn’t chronic syphilis it shouldn‘t be an issue. That being said this was an easily preventable infection that could have caused chronic issues had you not had the immigration medical. Use a condom!

Hello
I am also concerned by this syphillis exam too. I jad no idea I have it but discovered it when I did the first test early february.
my VDRLwas negative but TPHA positive.
Then I did another test 30 days after with IgM to see if it s recent or no. Negative and so the VDRL too.
But IRCC asked to do another test 6 weeks after, early May 2023. And now i seeTPHA positive and VDRL positive (<1/2).
I thonk they will ask for a treatment just to make sure but is there another blood test to do after to validate my medicals or not ? Cause according to a doctor, my rates are very low and Syphillis is sleeping because more than 10 years .....

if anyone can help me on this. That could be great.
Thanks a lot
