SWOP TIMELINE FROM PAKISTAN

Hi, my wife applied on May 4th, 2024 for SWOP from Pakistan, Biometrics was completed May 10th. She got the first ghost update on July 16th and second ghost update on exact next day, July 17th. My question is about the normal timeline for a complete processing of a SWOP application, and how long it would supposedly take to get the decision?

1ST GHOST UPDATE: JULY 16TH, 2024
MEDICAL UPDATE: JUL 16TH, 2024 (IT WAS UPFRONT)

SOWP first not guaranteed especially if recently married and arranged marriage but would expect close to 6 months.

I have seen people applying within the same period and getting their PPR in 45 days.

For an SOWP with a spouse on a WP in Canada from Pakistan? That would be incredibly unusual

I guess it has nothing to do with the Job Tier as the application was for work permit.

Hi, my wife got his PPR on Aug 7th, Wednesday. It took her three months and 3 days.

Hi, my wife applied 27th April and eligibility still shows as "In progress". Anyone with similar timeline got their PPR recently?

Hi! I checked in this tracker and there’s at least three SOWP cases from April, out of which only one got completed: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-work-permits-tracker

You can see the timelines for yourself but it looks like the SOWP isn’t moving forward that quickly for most April applicants…
