Switching from virtual to in-person ceremony

Hello,

Does anyone know how long it can take to switch from virtual to in-person ceremony. I received an Oath ceremony invite for virtual and then I emailed them to be in-person. Would like to know the wait times. My location is Calgary. I also when I filed my citizenship application application I opted for physical certificate compared to e-certificate and they just created my portal account for e-certificate lol.

Hello Everyone,

It turns out after you send them an email to switch to in-person they do not respond back. You have to attend the virtual ceremony as when you attend they will ask you then about your request for in-person. You can then decide if you wanna do in-person or virtual. I chose virtual as in-person there is no guarantee how long it will take. Please do definitely attend the virtual Zoom ceremony even if you have emailed them about switching to in-person otherwise you will be marked as absent.

Also I opted for physical certificate. Theysay it takes 2 to 4 weeks. But I got mine in just 5 days after the ceremony

What did you write in the email when you requested for the virtal to in-person? I want to change it too but need some guidance on the reason/content that we should mention in the email.
