Hi,
Seeking your opinions on what difficulties I may face and possible workaround if I get admitted in a 1 years PGD in University of Winnipeg and After 9 months I transfer to 2 years PGD in Manitoba Institute of Trade and Technology?

Is there any challenge particularly to extend the Study permit and getting 3 years PGWP upon completion of my 2 years PGD?

Why would you do a 2 year PGD after a 1 year course why cant you just do a single 2 year course or 1+1. Either way you'll get a 3 years work permit.. but I have hardly seen 2 years PGD. Mainly people do 2 one year course

Probably doing 2 different 1 yr PGD is a better idea and commonly seen. My ask was basically due to 3 reasons;
i. I am taking 1 year leave from my employer to apply for SP of 1 yr PGD, it will make my visa application stronger. so I can not go for 2 yr PGD now but I need to study 2 yr to get the highest tenor of the PGWP.
ii. Doing 2 separate 1 year's program at my institute will be very intensive as they are covering 2 year's material in 1 year for each program, having almost no break or semester gap. making the study a bit challenging.

now, do you think there will be challenges to convert 1 yr study permit to 2 yr permit later?

Look looking at your first case the Visa officer doesn't care if you return back to the same company after 1 year or work elsewhere. What matters is that you show them a proof of employment which itself will make your case stronger. So that's not a big issue

Secondly when you said your study will be intensive than bear one thing in mind a 1 year study has 8 months n 2 semesters so there is no way both of your courses will collide with each other n once you finish your 8 months study n clear all your modules you are done .infact, after completing the first course you'll have to get back to your visa work n apply for extension n you will have around 155 days gap to begin a new course (it's in their cic website) where in that gap you are allowed to work full time .leme give you an example

Sept you begin a couse by next year April you are done so now you'll have to extend your visa n begin a new course by September next year

Well you'll have to apply for extension so as long as you submit your offer letter stating my another couse is 2 years then you will get a 2 years study permit but bear in mind dont keep a gap between both studies start your course immediately after completing your first
