Hi,

I have received ITA 19th April. However, now I realize that I have swapped my name and surname. Is there any way that I can write an explanation letter?
Or is the only way to decline ITA?
My score is 417 and if need to decline and re-register, I will need to do it ASAP.
Please help!

Thanks

Don't decline ITA. You can change it in your profile only. Just mention any changes in your Letter of explanation(reason that you interchanged name and surname by mistake although your name is the same)

No. Do not decline your ITA.

Put the correct First Name and Last Name in the forms you have to fill out. I don't see this as being a big problem, but there is a section to submit a Letter of Explanation (LOE). Use this to inform the visa officer of your mistake when completing your EE profile.

Good luck!

thanks Guys,
I hope it will work.
I am just worried that they will decline due to this reason. I thought in case I need to decline it, the sooner is the better since I have opportunity to re-apply again (and now Express Entry points are low, my score being is 417).
