So if Nov files now are moving then Dec applicants likely to be next month ?

I wonder about that -- I am October -- no test needed due to my age, just interview and my time line is
Application sent on 21 October 2014
Application received on 23 October 2014
Processing started on 30 December 2014
Transferred to Surrey on 15 January 2015

-- and then nothing! I would have thought I'd be called by now. Argh! :'(

I also feel expremly lucky.

Test wasn't so hard. and the officer said that Surrey office is processing faster than others. we can expect to be called for a ceremony in 2~3 months.

one of my other friend had a test just 1 day earier than me. he was told it will be 4~6 weeks till ceremony.

Well my husband just got his test invite (yellow piece of paper) in the mail yesterday, printed May 29th. ECAS is not updated yet. Test date is June 26 in Surrey.

Finally some movement:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 23, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on December 30, 2014.

3. Your file was transferred to the Citizenship Surrey office on January 15, 2015. The Citizenship Surrey office will contact you.

4. We sent you a notice on June 1, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on June 29, 2015 at 8:03 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Two bizarre things -- first is 8.03 AM? Not 8.00 AM or 8.05 AM but 8.03 AM

Second is that I am 57 years old, so why the test? I thought I'd be interview only. Unless the message is just a generic one.

Usually test invites have time like this. I think mine had "10:01"

Its a generic message i think.

People age 55 and above are exempted from the test, here is the link:

I gave the call centre a ring and the guy, who was really really nice, laughed and said "no -- its generic -- you don't have to take the test -- unless you REALLY want to."

I can't wait -- wonder how long it will be till oath

We fedex'd the application on Jan 29. Here's our timeline:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 2, 2015.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 11, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on March 13, 2015.

4.Your file was transferred to the Citizenship Surrey office on April 16, 2015. The Citizenship Surrey office will contact you.

5.We sent you a notice on May 29, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on June 26, 2015 at 8:03 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
