Morning Guys,
Just checked my eCAS status and it says they sent a letter for the citizenship test on Nov 10 and the test date is Dec 10. Hurraaayy, after 15 months, most of which passed watching and envying applicants at other offices finalizing their processes so fast, at last we are moving forward too.
Good luck to you all

PS: We applied in Aug 2013, "in process" status for me & wife since: Oct 2013 and for our son: since Feb 2014

Goodluck on your test. More test invites from Surrey office, pls :)

Thanks Jeleni.
I believe you would receive test invite soon as Surrey office seems to have accelerated the pace.
Good Luck

hi, i finished my test this afternoon, passed. the interview went well and i was told within 3-5 months the oath letter will arrive. just one question to ask you guys here. During the interview, the officer went through my passport and checked off the correspondent entry or exit date on my residence caculator. For some of them, she checked 'I', some 'R', and some just a check mark. Did anybody know what this means? thank you!

I submitted my response to cit -520 - the new form of RQ to surrey office
Now, waiting for their response.
I am hoping to get oath invitation in line with regular applications.
I took the test on oct 28 2014
I responded to rq on nov 10 , 2014 ( entry exit records from/to USA)
Hoping to get oath by feb 2015
thanks

Hi jckdry, would you mind telling me when you got the RQ? Was it issued right after the interview or a few days after the test? Also, I heard that getting the Entry/ exit record from CBA may take a few months, how did you get yours so quickly? Would you mind sharing your experience? Thank you!

One of my friend (who lives in Surrey and his Local Office is Surrey too) received a test invite in yellow color and he told me that his test invite was SENT by VANCOUVER CIC Office but he had to appear at the Surrey Office for the test. Also during the interview he was told that he MIGHT get his oath ceremony at Vancouver.

I was just curious if you have the same situation.

I live in Surrey at King George area and My CIC office is in Vancouver. Don't know why.

WOW, this is unbelievable, you live in the neighborhood of CIC office Surrey but your local office is Vancouver. But you got lucky because Vancouver is faster than Surrey so cheers

Yes it is! Vancouver is way faster than Surrey. When I received my Test invitation and I saw it was from Vancouver Office I was like what's wrong with my application! because CIC Surrey is just step away from where I live and then I have to go to CIC downtown Vancouver just to take the test eh.

Surrey is probably so swamped that they are sending some applications to Vancouver since they are much quicker.

i received the request for entry exit records from usa right after the interview.
I had many trips to and from USA from surrey.
almost one every weekend.
They told me they have access to Canadian records and they don't need those
They only asked USA records.
I94 records print out from DHS website I gave them should do the job
Hope fully I can get response in line with regular applications

Thanks for your sharing jckdry. Wish you good luck! I believe you can get your oath letter within a few months. After my interview, the officer said the letter should arrive within 3-5 months. So, let's keep fingers crossed and looking forward the invitation!

Is anyone going for oath in surrey in dec?
If so I would just like to know when u took the test?
It will give an idea of practically how long it takes now till u get oath from testdate I surrey

I am applying for Citizenship later this month (Dec 2014)
Do you know the current timeline for new application at Surrey office ?

Surrey has a standard processing time of 2 years unless you are very lucky and they make any exception
