Just type "N/A" or "NA"

But it would be good if you have a surname and if you can get your passport updated.

the thing is for example my name is abc xyz ...but it is written in given names in my pp....n if I wait till surname to be added it will take more 2 months.... :(
can I split my name like abc given name and xyz surname n give a covering letter saying after the eligibility review will renew my pp with surname???

I had the same problem. I would advise you to split the name in the passport. You need not change the whole passport but it can be entered in a page in the passport n then notify the visa office regarding this.

Which country are you currently in n ur citizenship?

india..... is thr any other option rather than adding a surname in pp..can I write NA

If your NOC is not a high demanded NOC then I would suggest you to update you passport and then apply.,. otherwise just apply by writing NA in surname, you can after applying get your PP updated and then send update forms with a covering letter to explain a name change.

NOC is in high demand..thts the reason I am thinking of other options.....

r u sure??? if I write NA thr wont be any probs??? shall I write a covering letter explain this???

Does any any one had same kindaa issue now they have written "NOT APPLICABLE" under surname n when application got accepted renewed thr pp?? PLEASE REPLY SOON...... :-X

Yes, I had the same problem with my spouse's name.... Her complete name i.e. first name and the surname was mentioned in under Given name in the passport and the family name field was empty.

The Generic form needs a surname for validation, so what we did is to write the complete name under the given name section in form (so that it matches exactly as is in the passport) and write the surname again the field for surname. Of course I wrote a cover letter explaining the situation and kept it before the Generic form so that the processing officer has no confusion while reading the application . Also I maintained the same all through the form wherever my spouse name was required.
