Hi - I am starting this thread to share your frustration and helplessness that despite being nominated by a province, our wait times are triple the time of EE applicants. While most of us are inland applicants, who moved here as international students paying hefty fees and now contributing to the Canadian economy as foreign workers, this inordinate processing time of 16 months is ridiculous, I find. Look at the EE timeline! I am sure every one of you knows at least one person, one friend of a friend who applied under EE many months after you applied under PNP and got their PR long ago. Is this fair friends? Why treat us differently?

Please share your stories. At least this way we can vent out our stress and anguish.

Thank you for creating that. December 2015 still waiting here.

@tavlin is right. This is as useful as winning an argument on the internet

First, being a student and paid tuition doesn't mean anything. We are not contributing to the society more than paying a fair share for a service and being law-abiding
Second, We all agreed to the process time before we started the application. 16 months for 80% of applications. Sure if you landed on the 20% then sorry for your bad luck and IRCC doesn't guarantee process will be smooth. You can push your local MP if its over 16 months but there are limitation of their power as well.

In last years annual report, it was mentioned that one of target in PNP program is bringing backlog numbers down and speed up process. From the trend of things, I will not be surprised if they will phase out papers and go all-in on electronic application system
