My region specific guide says this..
"Photos must be loose. Do not send them in binders, albums, frames or other such containers. Do not send video discs or video cassettes. Do not send musical greeting cards or other similar documents containing electronic or mechanical devices. Proof of your sponsor's visits such as airline ticket coupons, boarding passes, copies of pages of your sponsor's passport showing entry/exit stamp."
Nowhere anything about calling cards/birthday cards. And its not a regular birthday card, its the message inside it that counts towards showing a genuine relationship I would assume. Why would they want all this proof if they won't look at it? That doesn't make sense. I am sending things so they can see its for the love, and not just immigrating.
I have calling records.. but this is the situation. I have a call history for a period of time, and then since my long distance company's rate went up by 10 cents and I found that ridiculous, I cancelled by plan with them and found a calling card which was so much cheaper than thatcompany's rate. I was switching company's during that period, so when I found a company that was equal to the calling cards rate, I stayed with them and ditched the cards. I'm sure if I wrote them a letter explaining that they will see I was just trying to save myself a pretty penny while being away from my husband. So here is what I mean -
January - April ... phone records
April - July ... calling cards
July - today ... phone records
Edit - I would just like to add that they will clearly see the switch by the phone records company name.
