supporting documents -- will CIC return them after the approval of the PR card?

Just wondering what happened to the supporting documents? Will CIC return the cards, the photos, the emails, bank statements, birth and marriage certificates back to us once the PR card is approved? Or will they keep it?
I am wondering should I send in the originals such as cards? or photocopies of them? and should I order extra birth and marriage ceritificates if they are going to keep them?

All your original certificates and photos will be sent back to you by the visa office together with your passport, duly stamped with the Canadian PR visa ( not PR Card ). You don't need to send any original certificates or any kind of documents other than PCC to the visa office. But for vertifiification, the visa office can ask you to send any certificates, once they see the submitted photocopy is not not clear.
