What kind of supported documents can I send along with my employer letter to minimize that chances for them to call my employer? Should I send paystubs or my W2 or my income return?

The reason I do not want them to call my employer is because the company is laying off a lot of people due to the recession and I do not want them to know I am applying for Canada Immigration. They might lay me off as well since I will leave anyhow.

Thanks.

I have the same problem/ My employer will give em the letter because they think it is for something else and not for immigration. They refused to put down duties. What should I do? Is that a big deal?

thanks.

in the Buffalo Appendix A, i think it talks about when you can't get a letter from your current employer. I think CIC might understand if you can't one. But you would have to prove your duties somehow.

there's nothing mentioned above about the pay stubs, so is there a chance not to include them?

Have anyone here had any experience by providing the letter, but not with the duties listed and had attached a letter explaining why? Was the letter accepted? Can I request them not to contact my employer since the company has laid off a lot of people and I do not want them to think I want to leave or I will leave soon? They might see it as an excuse to get rid of me since I will leave anyhow?

Thank you.

But how ofter they call the employers to check on their employment? I heard that since they are full of application, they do not bother on checking on everybody.

i am sure they have some statistics of fraud by country, employers, etc. They may use that to decide whether to check on an applicant or not. I am guessing.
