Hi everyone,

I just have a few questions before applying for supervisa for my mother. Regarding the insurance coverage, I know that there is no guarantee once you apply for the supervisa but did anyone of you submitted any application for supervisa without insurance?or it is really needed before you can apply? Also i was thinking of applying online for my mother, is it better than applying on paper like via courier. And also, I have read at cic website about the parents and grandparents sponsorship to reopen on January 2016. what is the difference between this and supervisa?thank you!

If you submit the super visa application without insurance then it will be refused.

The super visa lets your parents live in Canada temporarily but they eventually have to return home. They cannot work while here and cannot benefit from the health care system. Sponsoring your parents for PR takes years, but once they are PRs, they can live in Canada permanently - including working and benefiting from the health care system.
