Hi to all,
My parents got denied in their Supervisa Application.
Here are the reasons:
I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations for the reasons indicated below:
1. You have not satisfied me that you meet the requirements of Regulation 179; that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period if you were authorized to enter. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors which include one or more of the following: your travel history, your current immigration status, your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence, length of proposed stay, purpose of visit, limited employment prospects in your country of residence, your current employment situation, your personal assets and financial status
2. you have not provided sufficient or updated documentation to support the hosts income or assets
My mom is a housewife, never been out of the country, my dad is an overseas contract worker and is now retired from his almost 30 years job outside the country. So they are now thinking of having a short vacation in Canada.
They are invited by my sister (a PR) to visit them from March 01 - Sep 01, 2013. My sister is a student and her hubby is a Canadian citizen and the only one working, they have a baby girl. From the time we submitted their appli on Jan 30, the LICO in CIC has not changed yet for a member of 5 (47,710 for 2012 applications) the income of my brother in law as per his 2011 NOA is 48,000, so its okay. But right after we submitted the app, the CIC website refreshed and now the LICO for 5 members is now 49,210 (I hope the figure is correct).. too late for us to retract the application.
we are now contemplating on reapplying for TRV instead of supervisa.
since one of the refusal reasons is the unupdated income of the host (the LICO is for 2011 and being not sufficient), we are thinking now of asking my brother in law to provide an updated T4 (2012 NOA is not yet available), add his employment letter from his supervisor and some savings that they might add. they also purchased a canadian medical insurance for visitors good for a year (I believe this is a strong document)
another reason for refusal is the length of stay and financial status.
This is quite a question to us, my parents provided 10,000 CAD for their 6 months stay in their 1st app and have shown 3 parcel of land. So, we are now thinking of shortening their length of stay from 6 months to just 3 months and for single entry only (its multi entry for their first apply) The same 10,000 CAD will be their funds.
ties to home: the rest of my siblings are all living and working here in the home country, it is only my sister who is in Canada.
employment: my dad is now retired (he is 54) and my mom is a housewife (she is 52)
can you kindly help me on how my parents can make their second application strong?
thanks a lot!
