hi
I wish to apply for my mom's visa to visit me and my husband
I am confused which one to apply

1.She is divorced .She has no travel history and her tie to the country is her government job. Iam her only child and She lives with my grandmother and maternal uncle. She shall be retiring in 2 years after which she wont be able to show any ties in terms of job, property etc. But Her finances are good in terms of bank statements
I am confused if she can show ties to the country if I apply for the supervisa after she retires.
Also she can only come for a period of 2-3 months till 2019 only because of her job commitments even if I apply for supervisa. SO WHICH VISA SHOULD BE MORE LOGICAL.

2. My income doesnt meet the LICO CRITERIA. My husband shall cosign for it as it is. But if i leave my job can I still apply for a supervisa for her with my husband being the cosigner

3.I was reviewing the supervisa application and I could not find anywhere that they asked to attach property papers etc. I could see they asked for income tax returns and bank statements. So could someone please guide if property papers etc are mandatory.

Please guide

Thankyou

I suggest she should apply at local VAC.
Sometimes through CIC-Online is more difficult in that case

Hi,

1. IMO, your mom could apply for a TRV first/well before she retires. As you are an only child + your mom does not own property + she is a widow, her ties to her home country are rather weak otherwise.

She must demonstrate ties such as her employment + your grandmother + a good financial situation. She must focus/present her employment ties really well, including a work commitment for which she must return to her home country by a specific date + plan a visit preferably around national holidays to explain why she is able to take a bit of an extended holiday/time off work. She must not state that she is retiring in 2019 in her TRV application.

If she visits for short trips on a TRV, it would be more easier to convince the visa officer when she applies for another visa in the future.

BTW do not ask for a visit of 2-3 months even for a TRV. It would indicate that her employment ties are weak.

2. Yes, your husband can co-sign if you don't meet LICO even if you decide to leave your job.

3. Whose property papers? Applicant or host? Host's property papers are not mandatory. If an applicant owns property, it would establish a strong tie to return to his/her home country after the visit

Cheers
