My mother has just received her passport back from VFS (www.vfs-canada.com.bd) with Super Visa. The visa is valid for 5 years as same as the passport.
SUPER VISA TIMELINE (According to Visa Application Tracker):
Application recevied (with Passport): March 29, 2012
Medical requested (Passport returned): April 5, 2012
Passport re-submitted (after doing medical): April 11, 2012
Passport processed (ready to pick-up): April 22, 2012
Passport delivered (in-person): April 25, 2012
My mother picked her passport today as stated in VFS Tracker. The visa was stamped on April 19, 2012. So, the whole process was pretty fast (3 ~ 4 weeks).
BRIEF BACKGROUND:
We're family of 3 (my wife, mother & myself). Both my wife and I got our PR through PNP last year. My mother applied for TRV twice before and got rejected on both occasions. She is 53 and on medication for diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidsm.
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED FROM MY SIDE:
(1) Notarized invitation letter along with detail info of the inviter (myself) and the invitee (my mother).
[This letter has all info with some emotional touch]
(2) Another notarized letter with heading "Declaration of Support"
[This one is short and looks like an affidavit ]
(3) Copy of my passport
[Identification pages up to Canada Immigration Visa page]
(4) Copy of my birth certificate
(5) Copies of PR cards of both my wife and myself
(6) Copy of my 2011-NOA
[Shows my gross income to be $68,000 whereas LICO for 3 persons stands at $34,646]
(7) Copy of my 2011-T4(s)
(8 ) Original employment verification letter
[Shows my current income to be $72,000]
(9) Copy of my latest #10 pay-stubs
(10) Original bank statement along with 6-months transaction record
[Shows my bank assets to be $30,000]
(11) Medical insurance (with pre-existing conditions) papers
[Bought it from GMS which consisted of policy confirmation page, money receipt & policy wording]
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED BY MY MOTHER:
(1) Full application (with original passport & photos)
(2) Original employment verification letter
(3) Original vacation approval for 8 months from her employer (No Objection Certificate)
(4) Original bank statement
(5) Copies of FDR(s)
[Equivalent to $25,000]
(6) Copy of passport
MEDICAL EXAM:
As my mother is both diabatic and hypertensive, the doctor asked for an additional test (ECG) at time of the exam. So, we did. Medical result was forwarded to Canada Consulate by themselves. We re-submitted my mother's passport as told the following day.
FEW NOTES:
At time of application submission, we were told not to submit any property papers. So, we didn't show any. But they checked my mom's original FDR(s) against the copies.
I hope this will help people accumulating papers for Super Visa. For any concern, feel free to ask me. Thanks.
