Hi everyone,
I am considering applying for supervisa for my parents.
I am a student and I have had a scholarship for four years; my scholarship is going to expire in one and a half months from now.

I have two questions:

1- Are scholarships considered Canadian income and can they be used for supervisa application?
2- Do you know for how long should the income be valid (because my scholarship will end soon)?

Thanks :)

Hi,
1. I don't think scholarships can be considered Canadian income.
1. You should meet LICO for at least the year back from the day of your application.

Thanks very much Suin for your response.

you mentioned: "... for at least the year back from...",
but how many years "after" the application date I am supposed to receive that income in order to be eligible to apply?

I could not find any information regarding this issue in CIC website. Have anyone found something about that in their website?
I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

You have to show that income at least on the time of application. Once they give your parents 10 years multiple entry visa, you do not need to prove your income for longer than a year unless you'll decide to apply for parental sponsorship. Then you will have to prove your income for 3 years in a row.

Also you will need to prove your income any time you will be extending the stay of your parents in Canada, when they arrive on super visa.
