Good day,

My moms Supervisa has expired. I applied for a extension so she can stay longer in Canada. My question is this, after i hear back from IRCC on the extension, can she use that extension to travel outside of Canada or would I need to apply for Visitors visa inside Canada so she can travel outside Canada. Please any information would be greatly appreciated.

She is extending stay through a Visitor Record. Once she leaves then her extension is no longer valid or needed, she needs reapply for a TRV to re-enter. She cannot apply for a TRV within Canada.

can you provide an update to your moms case as i have the same scenario now, do we need both supervisa extension and TRV
