Supervisa document required for "Purpose of Travel" proof of intent to return. . they suggest round trip flight tickets! This is not feasible.

I need to submit proof that my father in law who I'm trying to sponsor for a Super Visa is coming here only temporarily. There is a separate upload requirement and they suggest showing return flight tickets. For several reasons (He is in China) it is really not possible to get return flight tickets right now. . the application processing time is nearly half a year for China and who knows if the application will be approved or if China will allow him to leave at that time. Could I supply something else. . like showing previous exit and entry stamps from previous visits (on a regular visitor visa)??? Or showing his health insurance is only for 1 year? Anything but flight tickets!

China’s zero-Covid policy is making inbound and outbound travel completely unpredictable as lockdowns can happen anytime. So, not a good time for a visa application as refusal chances are high, even if you can provide a return ticket. Best to postpone.

is air canada operating flights to your location? if yes, air canada got some special scheme which gives you 100% refund when you cancel tickets, called latitude , but these tickets are priced higher than the normal economy tickets…which means you can cancel n get full refund if your visa is not processed within the travel date or if its processed you can cancel n look for cheaper tickets, only problem is that your money will be locked in until u get a decision or travel date is approaching! still you get it back without even loosing a cent if you cancel ahead
