I had applied for my mothers Super visa in May 2023. Following is my timeline
Application submitted : 05 May 2023
Biometric: (from previous Supervisa application in 2019)
Medical applied (upfront) 21 July 2023 - we applied for medicals before they asked for one
Medical passed 28 Sep 2023
BG : In Progress
Eligibility: Not started
Country of application: India
My mother has a chronic lung condition due to catching pneumonia as a child, and so has some scarring on her lungs. We were asked do tb testing and sputum analysis, etc. That delayed her medical results by 3 months. However we have had absolutely no updates after that
. It's been nearly three and half months of no updates on her application at all
I had applied for GCMS notes and but much there either, other than her medicals and criminality passed. This is the note in her GCMS notes " Has a condition for which the risk to public health and the potential demand on health or social services is not sufficient to exclude admission"
The last time I had applied for a supervisa we got an approval within 45 days.
1) Does anybody know or can guess the reason for this delay? Is this a normal timeline for applicants that have to undergo tb testing ?
2) Can I apply for a visitor visa for her while we wait to hear an update on her supervisa?
