Hello!

We want my wife's mother to visit us in 6-7 months. She is from China.
Do you think we have time to apply for Supervisa? IRCC website says ~420 days wait time.
Her mother also has a visitor visa for the next ~7 years. Can she enter Canada using this visa and then convert it to supervisa? Can supervisa be applied from inside Canada?

You can apply for Super visa. She needs to be in China when you apply for the super visa.
If she has a visitor visa and she is planning on visiting 6 to 7 months, you can use her visitor visa to travel. If you need the additional one month (7th month) you can apply for a visitor record extension. (Not 100% guaranteed visa will be extended but most get it)
You can't convert a visit visa to a super visa.
Super visa CANNOT be applied while in Canada.
