Super Visa

Hi there,
I want to get my parents to Canada for about a month.
My options are either Super Visa or Visitor Visa.
In the case of a Visitor Visa their bank statements aren't very strong so there is a fear of rejection because of that.
In the case of Super Visa I will show my income (60k) and bank statements with a balance of about 9k.
However because they are coming only for a month will their super visa be rejected? is it better I apply for the Visitor Visa?

You need to show income earned in Canada not your salary amount. How long have you been working in Canada and meet LICO on your NOA?

yes i have been in Canada since 2017 i have NOA and yes I do meet the LICO requirements. my NOA for last year shows 67k

will the Super visa be rejected because they are coming for 1 month only? Should i apply for Super Visa or visitir Visa? They have never been to Canada before this.

Hello Everyone
I am new to this forum. I recently applied for my parent's supervisa and yesterday I got the final decision that their application has been rejected reason being: "You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets". My parent's showed total of $12k in their bank and I submitted my T4 and offer letter with my income. I am not sure of they are referring to my income or assets or my parent's. We have an house hold income of approximately $140K but in application I submitted only mine T4 and Offer Letter(no bank statement, no investments or 401K details) not my husband's as he is new to Canada and didn't get any NOA or T4s. Please help, when I should reapply and with what documents for income and assets.

LICO is based on income already earned in Canada so an offer letter isn’t proof of LICO which is why you were refused. Do you qualify with your NOA?

You may wanna file just a regular tourist visa. Super Visa is yes for 10 years but the requirements are a bit complicated when it come to health insurance:

• have proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company
  • This medical insurance needs to
    • be paid in full, or in instalments with a deposit (quotes aren’t accepted)
    • be valid for at least 1 year from the date you’ll enter Canada
    • cover your health care, hospitalization and repatriation
    • provide for at least $100,000 emergency coverage

whereas for tourist visa you do not need such proof to be eligible but it is highly suggested to get a health insurance that covers the duration of the trip.

Supervisa allow you to stay much longer. Never seen anyone approved who paid in installments for supervisa insurance but seen many who were denied. Not paying for each year upfront could lead to not keeping up with payments and losing coverage. TRVs are primarily based on the parents’ finances while the supervisa is primarily based on the child in Canada’s finances so some are better off applying for a supervisa even for shorter stays.
