Super Visa

Hi - Could some one please help me with this.

My mother in law was issued Super Visa in 2016 (copy attached). Her passport was expiring in Jan 2017, therefore the visa issued had an expiry of one year.

She visited Canada in 2016 and came back same year before visa or passport expiry.

Since then she has spent time in UAE and Australia.

Now she has a new passport and wants to visit Canada again.

She tried to go yesterday but was not allowed to board.

I understand Super visa is issued for 10 years, her 2016 visa is still valid? Or she needs a new visa?

How can she get her Super Visa stamped on her new passport.

Your mother was not issued a 10 year super visa, she was issued a super visa that expired Jan 2017 (same as her passport). She needs to apply for and obtain a new super visa before she tries to travel to Canada.

Super visas are not all issued for 10 years. How long they are valid is determined by the visa expiry date.

Thanks for your response. Would you know if her new application can be made from UAE, she is here only on a visit? Currently she the resident of Australia. And how long does it take to get a Super visa nowadays?

Apparently you can apply online nowadays, so you can submit all your documents online and pay the fees. She probably have to go through the medical and biometric, so I don't know if you can get her medical done in the UAE and for Biometric, she has to go to India.
